The National Weather Service issued a now-expired tornado warning for Williamson County at 8 p.m. after detecting rotating winds within a thunderstorm that has just passed east through Kingston Springs in Davidson County, headed towards Bellevue and Brentwood. The warning expired at 8:30, but residents are still advised to take extreme caution, as flash flood warnings are still in effect.

A tornado warning may be reissued as the National Weather Service continues to observe the storm.

The storm is projected to continue east, reaching Nashville and Brentwood shortly. The National Weather Service advises those in the affected areas to immediately take shelter, and to continue to stay off the roads due to the potential flash flooding.
