Vanderbilt Health CEO will address Chamber on Wednesday

The CEO of Vanderbilt Health will present “How Is Health & Wellness Affecting Our Workplace and Our Bottom Line?” on Wednesday at the Williamson Inc. monthly chamber luncheon meeting.

Dr. C. Wright Pinson will address how companies can make health a priority in the workplace, as well as talk about the Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network’s new Chamber wellness program. Through this affiliation, Chamber member companies, regardless of size, will have an opportunity to provide their employees with a company-sponsored health and wellness program.

The program, at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, starts with registration and networking at 11 a.m. with lunch and the program beginning at 11:30 a.m. he cost to attend is $35 for Chamber members and $55 for guests.

Register online by noon Monday, Jan. 18 to receive a pre-meeting list of attendees and avoid a late fee.

Pinson is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Health Affairs at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and CEO of the Vanderbilt Health System. This includes 2,000 academic clinical physicians, four hospitals with 62,000 admissions per year, 62,000 operations per year, 100 outpatient clinics with 2 million visits annually, and an annual budget of $3.0 billion. Recently, he helped organize and became Chairman of the Board of the Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network, a system covering the state of Tennessee. Previous positions include Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Staff of the Vanderbilt Hospitals, H. William Scott Professor and Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Director of the Vanderbilt Transplant Center.
