VIDEO: Burglars put van in reverse to smash into gun store

Brentwood Police on Tuesday released in-store video of burglars ramming a stolen van into a Cool Springs gun store early Sunday and stealing multiple weapons before fleeing.

The video shows headlights in the parking lot. The van then is shifted into reverse and smashes through a window reinforced with steel bars. Three people run across the debris and begin grabbing items from showcases and racks. Seconds later they all flee and the van can be seen leaving.

Brentwood Police responded to a burglar alarm on Sunday, Oct. 30, at about 1:32 a.m. According to police, officers arrived at Everything Weapons, 7061 Moores Lane, but did not locate suspects.

At about 3 a.m. the vehicle used in this incident was located parked and unoccupied in front of 520 Brentwood Pointe, less than half a mile along Gen. George Patton Drive from Everything Weapons.

The Pontiac Montana van was discovered to have been reported stolen in Nashville on Oct. 26.

Detectives continue to investigate this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Brentwood Police at (615)371-0160 or email tips to bpdtips@brentwoodtn.gov.
