Budget items will take center stage at tonight’s Williamson County Schools’ board of education meeting. The board will convene at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Williamson County Administrative Complex, 1320 West Main Street in Franklin.

The board had a special work session earlier in the month to go over its proposed 2013-14 General Purpose Budget and Central Cafeteria Budget.  Work at that meeting will be key to the new business item on tonight’s agenda.

At the March 2 meeting, the WCS board met with the district’s senior staff to discuss what it would take to run the district in the next school year with enrollment projected to grow by nearly 1,000 students.

The board also will be voting on an amendment to the current year’s general purpose school fund budget.

Also on the agenda, the board is expected to approve:

  • Recommendations for field trip fee requests
  • First to the Top Rewards School Ambassador Program Plan/Budget
  • Voluntary Employee Payroll Deduction
