The Westhaven Foundation last week presented Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt a check for $40,000 for pediatric cancer discovery grants.

The donation on November 28 was a result of The Westhaven Foundation’s highly successful Concert 4 The Cure on September 8, 2018. The event was a three-act concert – headlined by popular band Fastball – and silent auction that offered drinks and dining options. It was attended by more than 500 people at the Westhaven Residents Club.

westhaven foundation“Pediatric cancer has unfortunately touched too many people in our Franklin community, and this event was created by our neighbors with children facing difficult cancer treatments,” said Matt Magallanes, president of The Westhaven Foundation. “Over the years our partnership with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt has grown, thanks in no small part to Concert 4 The Cure sponsors and participants such as Jack Daniels, Nissan of Cool Springs, Franklin Synergy Bank, Johnston & Associates, Fidelity Investments and many others. We are honored to continue supporting efforts to finding cures.”

The 2019 Concert 4 The Cure event will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
