WHAT’S UP WITH THAT: Exxon changing to Twice Daily

Brentwood drivers might have noticed some heavy construction happening at the Exxon station located at 116 Franklin Road.

Crews from Steelhead Building Group have gutted the inside of the building and are changing the parking lot in an effort to convert the site to a Twice Daily convenience and fuel store.

“We are changing all our locations to the Twice Daily brand,” Tri-Star Energy’s Director of Communication Tom Woodard said.

He also noted the location at Old Hickory Boulevard and Franklin Road is among the stores to be rebranded, but did not have a set time when construction would begin.

Woodard said his company started to rethink the convenience store brand in 2011 and wanted to bring better options to customers.

“With the growth in Nashville, the food bar has been raised,” Woodard said. “The new Twice Daily brand offers fresher food, better coffee and more fountain offerings.”

Among the changes to the building are a conversion of the attached 684-square-foot garage into retail space, a new building addition of 524-square-feet and the installation of a roof over the dumpster enclosure.

Once construction is complete, the new building will have a total of 3,497 square-feet.

Woodard said the new Twice Daily should be open for business in 30 days.
