Reader Daniel Buehler emailed the BHP home office Tuesday with this question:
“I wondered if you had any info on some pretty dramatic police action on Concord Road, out in front of Brentwood Baptist, yesterday morning – I think it was around 10 am or so. My wife Gloria was on her way home from the Y and called me to say she was looking at three police officers with their guns drawn, handcuffing a guy laying face down in the road. I wondered if there was something going on that we should be aware of.”

Good question. Here’s the answer, from Jeff Hughes, who was just promoted to the position of assistant police chief:

The person your wife saw being arrested with Jacquez G. Harden, 28, of Madison, who was driving a stolen car out of Nashville. “Following a short pursuit, the suspect was arrested on Concord Road near the YMCA when the stolen vehicle ran out of gas,” Hughes reports.
